Happy Pierced Post Care Piercing Instructions

  • Clean twice daily with the aftercare solutions provided (saline solution) for the first 8 weeks and then as needed. Spray directly on the pierced area or saturated it so none of the cotton fibers come off and get caught on your piercing.
  • If you have to touch your earring make sure that you have freshly washed hands.
  • It’s normal to have some boeing, swelling, tenderness, itching, whitish-yellow fluid (not puss).
  • You should avoid excess trauma to the area such as sleeping on your piercing, friction from clothing, playing with your jewelry, and vigorous cleaning.
  • Avoid submerging the piercing in unhygienic bodies of water such as lakes, pools, and hot tubs for the first 2 weeks.
  • Avoid all beauty and personal care products on or around the piercing including cosmetic lotions and sprays.
  • Avoid twisting and moving jewelry on an unhealed piercing or picking away dry discharge. This will cause excess trauma and slow your healing time.
